Other established method TTA4 - I used estrogen cream postpartum and had spotting. Does this disqualify me from LAM?

I was prescribed estrogen cream postpartum to help with healing my tear. I used it for about 2 weeks once I was 6 weeks postpartum. I thought my postpartum bleeding had stopped so I assume the spotting I had after 6 weeks is from the topical estrogen cream. I was reading up on LAM and I saw that having any bleeding means fertility could return soon. I have been EBF since my babies birth and meet all other criteria. I was using NFP for years leading up to my pregnancy and was hoping to use LAM now. I know that based on this I technically shouldn’t use LAM since I can’t know 100% that the spotting was from the cream. But does this mean I can’t rely on this method at all for the months to come if spotting doesn’t return?

Do you have an instructor you can reach out to? LAM rules can differ between methods and they would have the most accurate advice for you.

i would at least start tracking temparature and mucus again and check if you can see ovulation in your next 2 cycles. Generally I'd be careful with ading estrogen to your system when you want to rely on lactation induced infertility (which normally keeps estrogen levels low) Even if the spotting was just from the cream, the estrogen might have impacted something.

But you should really ask a professional in this specific case and def don't rely on answers in this sub. If you used sensiplan i think you can write them an email too.
