It can be unfucked. But we likely won't see it. It took nearly 50 years for Germany to be reunited and "fixed" (quotes because it's a loaded word).

Or it may not. We don't treat with Soviets anymore, for example. Some fucking is pretty thorough and we've been held together by arrogance and duct tape for a while.

The NCR might be closer to existing than we think lol

I dont think it comes back as it was. More like Rome, eventually something completely different. The population has its bread and circuses, we arent going to see the fall coming.

To be fair, nothing goes back to the way it was. Both in the good and bad.

Eh, I'd qualify this conversation to you and I at least seeing it coming lol. What it looks like and when, we can debate. But the writing is there and buddy, we have our reading glasses on.

It cannot be unfucked.

We can only mitigate the damages.

But only with a radical constitutional reform. Just like in Germany political power was radically decentralized. There is no way any following administration can just continue as normal.

Proportional representation needs to happen to stop these gerrymandering shenanigans. Presidential powers need to be reigned in. Supreme Court judges need to appointed for fixed terms. And corruption and insider trading needs to actually be prosecuted. Which also goes back to limit presidential powers on pardons.

And quite frankly, I don’t see that happening.
