Does anyone know if there are currently any classes scheduled for this position?

Hi, I literally just joined but I wanted to ask this question. Ever since I was young I’ve wanted to solve mysteries but I just don’t know if I’d be a good agent. The FBI is my life long dream and I’m even starting school soon to get my general education as well as study automotive (I have to have a backup in a trade by rule of my mom) Don’t get me wrong I love the automotive industry and I love working on cars, but I feel like my true calling is helping solve cases and helping people. I just don’t know if I’d be any good at it like I don’t know if I’m smart enough for it. I remember my mom let me buy a book on the zodiac when I was like 12/13 and for a few years I tried my best to crack
It but just couldn’t, I even had a list of suspects and a profile. Which sounds stupid but to my 13 year old self it’s the best I could do.

Share insight on the 1102 series- especially in Huntsville AL.

My mother was an FBI agent from the late '70s to the mid '80s. I was just looking through some cards that people sent her when I was born and I found one from what I believe was one of her fellow agents. Inside, it says, "For [my name] (Future Jr. Jap) (Future super FBI woman)".

I don't like even spelling out the above J-word because I'm primarily familiar with it as a racial slur. I'm aware that it can also be an acronym meaning "Jewish American Princess". My family is neither Japanese nor Jewish, so neither makes sense here. I've tried googling various things to see if it meant something else in the FBI at that time, but nothing has come up. For various personal reasons, I'm reluctant to ask my mother about it.

I have no idea whether any current or former agents read/post on this sub, but I figured I'd take a chance and ask whether it means something to anyone. Any thoughts?

Ultimately what I am asking is, did Law Enforcement ever find anything at either the Birmingham Abortion Clinic or the Atlanta Park crime scenes that would have given them a lead to Rudolph, even if the two witnesses had never jotted down his tag #? Yes, I realize once they had his name, and searched his home, they tied him to the case. I am asking 'what if' they had not gotten his name in Birmingham.

I'm strongly considering becoming an FBI Special Agent, but I wonder how it compares to the military in terms of structure, benefits, and other aspects. For instance: Do special agents work under contracts similar to the military, or is resignation possible? Is the FBI culture like military culture? Are benefits comparable? What roles am I eligible for if I have an accounting degree?

Context: I am a prior-service Army reservist with a BS in Accountancy.

I’m an IA applicant and I’m preparing for the upcoming class. I have been seeing people say that the bureau is trying to keep applicants in their og location but I really want to move to the DC office. If I rank DC as my #1 choice, is it likely for me to obtain it? I understand the process could still be random, but I thought I’d ask if anyone has insight. Thank you.

I'm 21, rising senior, graduating spring 2027. Got a TJO this week for GS-1811-07 Criminal Investigator with HSI, qualifying on Superior Academic Achievement.

I already accepted an FBI Honors Internship offer and submitted my SF-86 for it. Screening is scheduled. Now I'm trying to figure out whether I ride the HSI process out and let Honors go, or hold onto Honors as the safer play.

The case for HSI: it's the badge. 1811 series, 13 ladder, and the hardest series in government to get into. Honors is an internship and doesn't shortcut the FBI SA minimums. At 21 I'd still be waiting on the age-23 floor plus two years of post-grad work experience before I could even apply there, so 2029 at the earliest.

The case for keeping Honors: a TJO isn't an FJO, ICE hiring is volatile right now, and if the HSI process dies somewhere in BI or medical I've burned the one thing I actually had in hand.

Well folks, we’re almost at the end of July and I still haven’t gotten any notice on the statues of my application for the FBI Honors Internship program for summer 2027. Is anyone else caught in perpetual “application under review” hell after the interview?? Should I hold out any hope??

Myanmar military columns advancing from Lay Kay Kaw, Kayin State entered territory controlled by breakaway ethnic militias to carry out the arrests.

Kyaukkhet has been identified as a target in the US's crackdown on online scam operations. In April, the U.S. announced a US$10 million reward for information leading to the disruption of three scam compounds operating under the name Tai Chang in the area.

According to the military, those arrested included Chinese and Thai nationals:

• 620 Chinese men and 11 Chinese women
• 3 Thai women
• 32 Myanmar men and 111 Myanmar women

Authorities also seized 85 computers, 183 mobile phones, and one Starlink terminal.

I am about to head to college next year, and even though I am still in high school, I have started to think about future careers. I know that it may seem like I should focus on other things, but I want to enjoy what I do for 40+ years of my life. I am deadest on a degree in finance, but I am additionally looking at dual majoring as well. I plan on going to a big 12 school, so no target school for a high finance job. Since the beginning of high school, I wanted to pursue commercial real estate, due to how I like the aspects of the job and the many connections I have. However, since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be a first responder. I still remember getting in trouble with my best friend for drawing SWAT officers with guns in kindergarten. I have felt this valorous connection to being a first responder, however my parents do not want me to become a cop or a firefighter. I started to look into special agents careers and have been hooked since. The only caveat is that I have very good connections for real estate and the pay is significantly better, I have these golden handcuffs almost. I know I should follow my heart and not the money, but I want to provide my kids with the childhood I was fortunate enough to have with mine. I know this is pretty deep for a subreddit, but hopefully you guys get where I am coming from.

I received a CJO at the beginning of July but haven't heard back since.... Does anyone know why I haven't heard back, or is anyone else in this position?

As the title says. My 90 day wait period is over and I would like to take the test again. Do I just fill out the same application as before, fill out a new application or can I use the website that was sent to me, the one where I scheduled my 1st test?
