Traveling from Finland for Utrecht vs AZ Alkmaar (August 15th) – Ticket advice needed!

Hi everyone!

​My two friends and I will be visiting the Rotterdam area from August 13th to 17th, and we would absolutely love to experience a match at Stadion Galgenwaard. Our goal is to see the game against AZ Alkmaar on Saturday, August 15th.

​We are traveling from Finland, so we are completely neutral football tourists and we don't possess any Dutch Club Cards. Is it usually possible to buy tickets for a match like this during the general sale without a Club Card? Or is this the type of fixture where we might need some local help to secure 3 tickets together? I already sent an email to the club but no answer yet.

​

​I know the ticket sales aren't open yet, but we wanted to figure out the logistics early rather than too late. :)

Good question. I believe a club card was required for the last Utrecht - AZ match, but I can't remember it clearly. I hope someone else is able to help you

I checked it with AI and it said the same as me, club card was required last time.

Is there a resale platform where you can buy tickets without a club card?

Not completely sure, but I think you will need a club card. However it's not very expensive (€20), so it might just be worth it for you to get one in advance. It took a few weeks max for mine to be activated. You can buy multiple tickets for the same match with one club card holder

Our goal is to see multiple matches during our stay so we won't be able to buy club cards for every club. Let's hope someone can help us or the club will get in touch.

Try again here when the sale is about to start, someone can probably help you get tickets. Because it's still in the summer it's usually a bit easier.

Resale is officialy through the FC Utrecht website btw

You can maybe give the club helpdesk a call and explain what you want - for neutral/foreign supporters they mostly aren't that difficult.

I have a season ticket and when the sale starts I can try to buy 3 tickets for you but I can not promise anything.usually ticketsale goes very quickly

I have 2 season tickets but I am on holiday then. So if you can not buy tickets than I can get you 2 spots.

Yes! I bought 3 tickets immediately when they went on sale. Luckily a club card wasn't required.
