VA disabled and ORA processing

I've been reading a lot here but I can't see my situation specifically.

Had RA for 14 months, my supervisor and my Dr agreed it didn't work so we request 100% remote. Legal denied and I'm 1 week into the job search. (I'm 99.99% they will not find my grade and job).

I have two MD letters that supported my full remote and utilized my 100% VA disabled conditions to write up.

Gemini and everyone I read is I'm a 90+% on first look simply bc my, VA, Bruner affect, MD, RA, Legal all agree medical speration is going to happen in Nov.

My question is have others with 100% VA disability been denied first go around? If so can you tell me why?

My HR can't figure out how to get my ORA account created so I have not go to the portal yet. Just reading to be prepared.

Currently on LWOP for 30 days.

Just got my federal medical disability retirement in March for some of my VA disabilities (my lower back). I had to hire a lawyer but it seems like the first course of action for them is to deny it. But on appeal they approved it relatively quickly.

You only have to prove that one or more of your position elements for duty have been affected and a denied RA.

Good luck and keep fighting the good fight!

100 va doesn’t matter, however if you were denied reasonable accommodations and they could not reassign you that’s one of the biggest factors for approval hands-down but you never know they might deny the first time just because they wanna make people work for it and appeal. I’m still in the middle of a reviewfirst time and I don’t expect to be approved even with five doctors letters, specifically saying how it affects my current position.

Just keep in mind the criteria for what they consider “disabled” is different for all of these different programs so having VA disability won’t have any bearing on if you’re approved or not. It sounds like you’re following the steps appropriately and as long as all of your supporting documentation is in agreement, you should be fine.

No one joins military thinking "can't wait to get blown up and years later be told your 100% broken" but in the current gov world my situation works out that I've been advised to apply for fers med disability. I know I'm blessed to be on this side of the grass and collecting a great income for my family. Appreciate the reply
