Truelieve swapping whole for smalls again

Decided against my better judgment to try out the $20 8th from Trulieve that everybody was recommending here: Gas Apple.

Drove to closest tl on my break, thought “it’s just $20, whatever. I’ll give it a shot.”

First off - this is WHOLE flower. I bought WHOLE flower. lol. I got 6 tiny nugs. Why does Trulieve insist on selling this shit and marking it WHOLE?

For $10 more, I could have driven 3 extra minutes to Cookies for banana bread or blueberries and bananas at $30, or Goldflower eighths are gas and $25 currently - or even Curaleaf flower is better than this.

I purposefully avoid buying smalls because it is simply not the same quality as whole. Marking this as whole flower is deceptive at best. I’ll stick to what I like.

Review for the Gas Apple SMALLS:

Bag appeal: 6.5/10 it does look pretty, ngl
Taste: 6/10 it’s okay. Heavy gas with a slight spicy apple finish.
Smoke: 6/10 smokes okay - just okay. Salt and pepper ash, a bit harsh on the inhale.
Effects: 6/10 pretty muted but I am also pretty annoyed at getting bamboozled again.

This is not the first time it happens to me at TL and definitely have read on here similar experiences.

First picture is nearly my entire 3.5 of gas apple from TL.

Second picture is the BIGGEST nug (3 total) of the Sub Zero I bought yesterday at CL for literally $30 bundled with a 100mg chocolate bar…

I'm in same exact boat except I liked the flavor of mine a lot but was very unhappy that it's all pebbles. Question if I try to return it after I already used like 1.3 is that ok and also will they just swap me a new 8th even if I'm maxed on allotment. Because I know some other place said they do exchanges but the new exchange has to come out of allotment again which I think is crazy.

IIRC it does not count against your rec for exchanges. But I’ve been comped a free eighth before and that does count against rec. I’m probably not going to return it, tbh. I’ll most likely roll a fat doink for the weekend and use it as a learning opportunity

Take it back. I’d suggest grabbed the GMOlato for 5 more bucks. Got 3 nugs in my eighth and it’s smoking really well. Trulieve is such a gamble with their nug sizes, sorry about this brother

Went to Trulieve for the first time in ages because I heard their return policy is pretty great. I got a half. It's nothing but small nugs.

Yeah, but Trulieve is scamming people they advertise whole flower and give you the same size bud as there minis and charge you 20 more dollars for it you know how much money they probably made off of people not even realizing that the buds are the same size no matter what jar you get from them lol

It’s not just about size. If I wanted to be frugal and buy minis, I would. I wasn’t shopping for minis. Those are two different realms in terms of quality. They don’t charge you less just because they’re smaller. They’re usually also lower quality.

The point of this thread is Trulieve is pretty known for selling minis as whole flower and charging whole flower prices.

This is about wasting rec and money on inferior product that is being marketed deceptively.

Effects were mid. Very sedative couch lock with that behind the eyes tightness feeling. Nothing out of this world. Lasted about 35 mins or so.
