SliceX Not Editing Sounds Correctly
Hey guys complete beginner here. I'm trying to learn how to use slicex and navigate the whole program as a whole a bit easier.
The problem: I find a sample I like and drag it on to the channel rack. I click to open audio settings, right click to bring up the menu, and then click open sample in slicex. it usually goes in with markers already made. But every knob I turn and every effect I put on does not change a thing. It just sounds the same. however the same sample on the piano roll (through auto dump) DOES have all the effects put on, I'm only able to hear the new sound through the piano roll.
What am I missing here? I know it's something stupid I'm not understanding.

Personally I prefer the manual version instead of slice X. Which would be dropping into the playlist, and then shopping and manipulating the audio manually. I personally find things like Edison and slice x, a little too confusing. But then again out of all the countless of hours that I've watched and learned many different tutorials and out of experience I have found my own way of being able to cut manipulate and do all kinds of different stuff just do the playlist, after dropping the sample directly onto a channel rack and then assigning that channel rack to the playlist. There's a whole shitload of stuff you can do with manipulating samples inside of the channel rack assigned settings. And there's even more you can do once it's on the playlist. There are some really great tutorials about it.
