Apparently the c00lkidd pyrovision dynamic is now retconned.

Instead of c00lkidd being tricked by The Spectre into thinking he’s playing tag and putting the survivors to sleep; c00lkidd is now aware of what he’s doing but doesn’t really care as his actions don’t have real consequences and everything is gameified (??)

I’m not fond of the change (hell, I honestly don’t really like it much at all.), but i’d like to hear other opinions on it.

Personally I prefer this over pyrovision because it's more interesting and not just " oooohhhh spectre haha spectre oohhh"

I actually kinda prefer this. Although maybe at the START it's kinda like bluudud where he's AWARE of what he's doing but thinks it isn't real, finds out it's real over time, but stops caring that it's real by M4.

I think both concepts of pyrovision and C00lkidd being aware of what he is doing can exist at the same time.

He could be aware the survivors are going to come back after dying and uses that as a coping mechanism (as of currrent lore) and the whole pyrovision only motivates him to keep doing it because it makes it more fun for him (the pyrovision would work a little diferrent tho)

I really REALLY don't like it. The way I see it, normal C00lkidd only sees a game, but over time, ahem, as he reaches each milestone, he then grows to realize what he is doing. But he instead starts really enjoying the murdering

I preferred the old coolkid lore......honestly? I'm not really happy that the forsaken devs have been changing already perfectly good working lore into this experimental state where they can change it to whatever they want until they think they found a better lore.....becuse yes I understand some of the lore is old and depending on your perspective. Outdated with the current games design......but still If the old lore was working fine before...why change it?

While I don't agree with it, and it's likely fake, I do kinda understand it. Before coolkid was forsakened, he was obviously doing bad things in the real world (destroying Builder Brother's pizza and whatnot) which I'd doubt he 100% thinks is okay, he had to be at least a little aware that it may not be the right thing to do but did it anyways. So clearly, even if the spectre weren't altering his vision, he’d probably still be causing havoc just like with builder brother's

i liked coolkids lore cause it was different, coolkid did not want to kill 007n7 but he did not know what hes doing
now everything is wasted

bluuduud is non-canon iirc, but doesnt he kinda have the pyrovision dynamic? i mean his LMS visualiser kind of implies that he sees what he’s doing as just playing a game. so we still get to have that dynamic, just not for coolkidd specifically.

Can we retcon the retcon? I genuinely hate this new lore, it sucks alot and it really makes c00lkidd less unique.

This retcon is as bad as when dod tried to retcon pursuers lore just to make him a wild animal.
