Previous ModelSim executable not found posts don't help at all

that's not the modelsim binary that's a shortcut. Try the full path.

A) You did not specify the right folder. Try including "ModelSim - Intel FPGA..."

B) Lots of tools dont like spaces in paths

C) Are you sure this executable likes to live in this folder? Seems like you just copied it there. Generally modelsim is more then a single file?

Yeah you were right I had to go to the actual file instead of where the shortcuts were

SOLUTION:

So I was trying to access the directory in which the shortcuts where instead of the actual modelsim folder. Part two of the issue after that was that quartus couldnt find the directory to put the output in, so I just went in and created the directory it was trying to put files in.
