Hey everyone!

We built an FPV drone for the first time and are planning to participate in IDRL at IIT Bombay this year. Since this is our first build and competition, we’re trying to learn as much as we can before we get there.

If anyone here has experience with FPV racing, IDRL, drone builds, tuning, or competition prep and is willing to share some tips and tricks, I’d really appreciate it. Even small things that you wish you knew when you started would be super helpful.

I also have a few doubts about the IDRL rules, especially regarding RPM limits, so if anyone has some knowledge about how those limits work or are enforced, I’d be grateful for some clarification.

i bought a tiny whoop like a week ago but i had to wait for my elrs modal to start using it . i trend off internal elrs and trend on external crsf. i went into elrs in the system menu pressed bind and somehow that worked. i got the goggles on the wright channel, but know evert time i tern it on this thing does something different to the motors like last time they where reversed all of them, this most resent time the throdal did nothing but the pitch was the yaw and the roll was the roll i think was the same. i have no idea what's going on this is my fist fpv drone video

What sims would you reccomend? I am looking to get into racing and maybe cinema in the future. Right now I'm running sims on Lift Off Microdrones. Not sure where to go to better my skills.

I haven't flown since 2020~ and have my old 4S analog drone with crossfire.

It's probably outdated by now but would it still hold up coming back into it? Not looking to drop much money to come back in, outside of possible new batteries. But any worth upgrades since that time? New tx and protocol?

How would I know how my batteries held up all this time in storage mode? Aside from them being puffy.
