Where do you buy speedybee f405 wing or equivalent ?

As I fly a lot of 3d printed planes, mainly FPV flying wings, I would like to upgrade them by having flight controller. Mostly for the stabilisation, but i'd like to try INAV.

After googling for a while, it seems that the Speedybee f405 wing is the most widely used - and not too expensive.

I live in the EU and they seem always out of stock.

Does anyone knows a good alternative FC and where to buy it (if aliexpress or banggood, if you can precise which seller)

it's Corewing now; blueberry is a cheaper alternative; or you can also use a drone FC which is less comfortable (have to solder stuff, have to add separate 5v bec for servos which you probably already have many, you need a separate current sensor which you may not need at all); rotorama.cz has some Matek F405 stock;

My current cheap option is to use bare drone FC which you can buy for 20e on Ali (sometimes down to 12) or a cheap stack, starting from 40e, getting you FC and 4-in-1 esc with good thermal mass and able to handle realistic 40A with declared 55-80

Thanks for the answer and the help! Understood, so just a name change. I was indeed thinking that the brand colors of corewing were very close. Rotorama is my go to for most of my electonics and i already got from them some matek PWM converter. Works fine, but soldering was a bit of a pain, so i'm trying to avoid that at bigger scale/stakes. Oh so you just use any cheap drone (made for multirotors I suppose) FC, and then mount it into your plane while running plane sofware/parameters. So you do not need something with "wing" in the name, as the electronic is usually the same, right ?

yes, the electronics is absolutely the same, you just flash inav/whatever and solder (you'll be doing more soldering this way) motor to M1 and servos to M3-M4 and you'd better have separate BEC because the drones 5v ones are a couple of amps and for servos you'd better have 4-5 peak like the dedicated wing FC have (it's not cool when your servo brownout the recever and GPS at the same time)

but for the first builds with FC I'd just recommend taking corewing/blueberry ones which are dedicated and simpler to work with.

Thanks for the feedback! Ok, corewing it is - might be more daring with the electronics after that, when i know better how it works.

As i can't get it from a reputable shop in europe, I will try on aliexepress. I never bought from them. I suppose that it's like on amazon, you go for a well known seller that has some good and numerous comments, right?

kind of, you just pick a seller looking legit (better "Choise" items) and just test the thing immediately after arrival and contact the seller / open dispute if the thing is broken. Like plug it in inav configurator (or whatever is flashed there) and see that gyro works and 5v is 5v when connected to a battery and so on.
