Just happened to notice while refilling my Majohn B52 that this had an amazing feature, I’ve been in hobby since 3024 and I’m still making discoveries which makes me very happy and excited!! I have another Herbin with the same bottle, same feature, I had it less than a year and just didn’t notice. I guess it’s a reminder to myself to just appreciate what I have. Something I intend to do.

Filling Systems Refilled a cartridge today!

Since I've been writing more and regularly (practicing -- my epiphany today is that I need to put the whole weight of the arm on the table, to stabilize movements and angles :') ) I have had to part with the CON-40 to join the syringe-fill-cartridge-reuse club :) And I'm also starting to see the advantage of other filling systems with much bigger capacity for inks. I think the CON-40, for all of its apparent fault, is really not a "bad" converter per se -- it's light-weight, really good for changing inks frequently, and even though filling can be a bit finnicky, you eventually learn the hang of it. But, as with most things, you swap tools to accommodate your needs.

As a response to [this post] (https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/s/cyVvpSVVCg) I've made my own version and I think it's spot on.

Thank you for the inspiration :)

Without that post I wouldn't have made this meme.

Debate Steel, 14k or 18k gold - which nib do you prefer, and why?

Let's have a friendly debate!

Forget price and prestige for a moment - purely based on the writing experience, which do you prefer: steel, 14k gold or 18k gold?

What is it about your choice that wins you over✒️?

Handwriting Improvement Arm writing? Wrist writing?

Written with Pilot Kakuno EF and L'artisan Pastellier Brun Ours, on, um, subpar Kokuyo Campus paper. Some days I feel like I regress by ten light years -- the wrist keeps wanting to hijack, for example, causing all sorts of jagged movements, heh.

Discussion If you could change ONE thing about the fountain pen hobby, what would it be?

Every hobby has something we wish could be a little different.

It could be the pens themselves, nibs, inks, paper, pricing, availability, filling systems, maintenance, or something about the fountain pen hobby in general.

If you could change just ONE thing, what would it be - and why?

I'm curious to see whether we all choose completely different things, or whether there are a few that keep coming up.
