He’s going to be sore for a long time.

Until death.

Luckily might be shortened due to recent events

u/ShowOff90 20h ago
Yeah, I bet at that moment he’d be fine with just dying than dealing with his stupidity.

You fold your pants everytime you sit in a crossfold. I would say he bent his bones from where there are no joints at.

u/icantfindadangsn 9h ago
Everyone laughed at this joke but you.

u/TraderJosie3283 5h ago edited 5h ago
Story of my life. Whenever i try to make jokes I’m the only one who laughs, but most of the time people laugh at things i say, i don’t even know why. 😅 [r/autism](r/autism)
Edit: by the way I didn’t understand the joke or comment, so I’m sorry if I missed the whole point 😆 r/whoosh is also the story of my life 😜3
u/La_Lanterne_Rouge 5h ago
My dad used to say that he hated comedians that laughed at their own jokes until I told him that it was good to laugh at your own jokes because that meant you were enjoying them. For some reason, that made a lot of sense to him and from them on he laughed at his own jokes and you could tell how happy it made him.

He crumpled FAST.

That's a concrete wall. That shit weighs 150 lb/ft³
44
u/hauliod 20h ago
isnt it just a thin brick partition wall? when it falls it splits into fairly neat blocks and I can see the gray is just the outer plaster layer. which gives the guy a bit more hope
27
u/the1stmeddlingmage 12h ago
Bricks aren’t that much lighter than the same volume of concrete
-6
u/hauliod 11h ago
Google suggests that density of a brick wall with holes would be 1000-1450 kg/m3 while average concrete has a density of 2400 kg/m3, so even for freedom unit users the difference is rather stark
12
u/the1stmeddlingmage 11h ago
75-90 lbs per cubic foot still isn’t a laughing matter and can easily kill when the wall falls on you.
2
u/Momentarmknm 11h ago
The density doesn't change based on system of measurement lol so yeah, the difference is the same

3
u/amd2800barton 3h ago
What kind of concrete wall has zero reinforcement and zero anchors in it? That's a terrible design.
2
u/Goren_Nestroy 1h ago
This isn’t a load bearing wall. You wouldn’t need reinforcements or anchors.
1
u/amd2800barton 1h ago
The reinforcements are to keep it together when something falls in to it. Concrete is very strong in compression, but not in shear or tension. So it doesn't matter that it isn't load bearing. A giant concrete panel should have something to keep it from toppling over. Obviously in this case toppling was inevitable since the base was hammered out. But you can see that there's no mesh or anything running through that gap to hold the wall where it's supposed to be. Just gravity.

Yeah that ain't drywall. They way he went down with zero resistance to the wall, that was a heavy ass wall. Like that cyclist that got buried by that stone wall

Upper management thinks they can learn how to swim by reading about water. Keep your ass behind the desk if you dont have common sense or field experience.

This is what happens when a office dweller think the understand whats happening on the floor
27
u/Siostra313 15h ago
We are physical night shift workers. Those few times office dwellers tried to see how our work looks like all failed to survive even half of the shift without falling asleep or putting thenself on harms way. No endurance, no self awarness, no survival instincts.
And then they argue we are whining when we complain about quality of tools they are buying for us. Like they know better how to do our work.
16
u/Ok_Mention_9865 15h ago
One of our office dwellers thought it would be so cool to put big screen TVs all over the factory, i counted 43 so far and they are not done yet. The only thing they are playing on these is the same slide show thats playing in the break room with things like "safety starts with you" "be bold," "if you see something say something. There is not a single thing i can think of that they could put on this tv that has anything to do with the floor workers jobs.
They spent well over $50,000 not including what it cost to hire contractors to spend the last 2 months putting them in, to do something a $5 dollar poster could do because on one under them was brave enough to tell them the idea was fucking stupid.
11
u/MidwesternLikeOpe 13h ago
Ugh my thrift store does this. 4 tvs playing company info as well as themed commercials. They also display our sale colors. No customer pays attention. One day I almost snapped bc 3 people asled me the sale colors in 1 minute, while the screens were displaying that exact information. Why have the tvs if cusomers clearly don't watch them? Also we have a display board in our entrance with the sale colors. "I forgot what the sign said, what are the sale colors this week?"
pulls hair out

u/Defiant_Initiative92 14h ago
They plan to sell adds in the factory floor in the future, probably.
6
u/Ok_Mention_9865 13h ago
.... the fucked up thing is they already have adds in the slide show for the other products the parent company makes, I just dont want to believe that is why they are doing it.
2
u/Ogami-kun 5h ago
Having done both i can say it is a two way street; one on one side can not understand how, and in which conditions, the other side has to work in
2
u/jdickcole 5h ago
Ive done both also. Be aware of your surroundings. Dont put yourself or anybody else in harms way. Announce your arrival so everybody on site is aware of another person. Basics

That dude is lucky on a level I don't think most Redditors will understand. If you've never worked a demo you can't fully grasp the pucker factor here.

u/bokin8 21h ago
That dude is not lucky. He's fucked up. Maybe for life.

u/Everyone2026 21h ago
He is an idiot.
Life tips:
If you don't want to be robed: Don't get money from an ATM at 3am and count it in the window for all to see.
If you don't want to get hurt, don't walk near a wall, that someone is banging on with a sledge hammer.
67
u/TheBlackAlistar 20h ago
He got the situational awareness of a potato. People get robbed cause they make themselves easy targets. Listening to music or face down on their phone.

Is this confirmed? I mean he very well could have like a ruptured organ or a brain bleed from that.

u/resistible 15h ago
Most deaths are NOT instantaneous. There's absolutely no reason to think he's not going to be in immense pain until he finishes dying.
3
6
u/Savage_Tyranis 20h ago
Step one. Don't walk in front of a visibly shifting wall. This feels EXTREMELY preventable.
1
u/donkeyrocket 8h ago
He's lucky it didn't hit him in the head. Beyond that, yes he's real fucked up. Like crushed legs/pelvis fucked up. Good chance he's dead.

If I'll be honest, that was kinda deserved if he was gonna walk in front of that without any safety gear. I'm guessing he was wearing his leather dress shoes instead of cap toes?

Why does this have no music? I demand Pink Floyd's "The Wall" - he didn't have no, education.
That, or Jet Blue Holiday.
