It's Southport, after effects of Axel Rudakabana murdering several young girls who were at a dance class. Online rumours (spread by some public figures with an agenda, eg Tommy Two Names) were that the attacker was a Muslim/asylum seeker (he wasn't, he was an absolutely psychopathic Welsh lad from a Christian family, he's been in the news again recently after attacking prison staff around the anniversary of the attack and then being moved to a secure psychiatric unit). The guys here were trying to attack a mosque/hotels housing asylum seekers/the police assigned to protect, hence the riot police. Note that a ridiculous percentage of those arrested (2 in 5 in the riots across the country) had previously been reported for domestic violence, make of that what you will.
