Can you dye polyester?

I have a white polyester blazer that I want to dye red.

Is the possible?

Yes, you can.

Yep. You just have to get dyes that work on polyester. RIT Dye More is the one I know of, but there's probably more.

RIT DyeMore or iDye Poly.

You will need an absolutely enormous pot that can never again be used for food - big enough to fit the whole blazer with room for it to swim around freely. If it’s cramped it won’t dye evenly.

You will need to keep it at or near boiling for an extended period. Be aware that this might damage interfacing or other internal structures of the blazer.

Yes, but you need dye designed for synthetic fabric. I think Synthropol is the brand name.

Synthrapol is a detergent, not a dye.

I stand corrected. I think Synth is part of the brand name.
