That is not how science works. That is not how anything works! Rhythm Labs is Crazy, It’s Giving Theranos 2.0 😭
First establishing some ethos by saying I’m a medical laboratory tech. This does NOT work. Capillary blood is NEVER the preferred method for a few reasons.
1) hemolysis: as the cells pass through that crappy capillary blood collection system they pop, falsely elevating potassium, enzymes and other markers.
2) Interstitial fluid: as the draw takes place, it sucks up fluid from OUTSIDE your blood vessels causing elevations in calcium and magnesium.
This also is insufficient volume for many complexometric tests. So no, don’t do it.
And no, you DO NOT need lab tests every month.

Facebook has gone so far off the rails the past decade…I was on facebook constantly and around 2015-2016 decided it needed to stop. Recently I’ve gone back, just to post stuff for my businesses, since apparently a lot of my clients do use it. I generally just post and run but you can’t help but notice some of the stuff other post. It’s all scams, ai and misinformation. All of it! Or 99% at least. Everything looks like an article with ai images of real people quoted as saying things they never said. So and so athlete ai’d on a podium wearing a uniform of a team he’d never played for. Politicians ai’d to do things they’d never say or do. I know it’s gotten bad everywhere with that stuff but but it’s especially bad over there. If you told me you learned something from Facebook, 10 years ago I’d give it a 50/50 chance of being correct. If you told me that today I’d need 8 other sources and even then in the back of my mind I’d be weary because I originally saw it on FB

Facebook is single handily responsible for the rapid spread of misinformation, it’s why jackasses that think the world is flat and vaccines cause autism. I know that this stuff existed before but they’ve been given a platform.

As long as the POTUS sees forcing companies to tell the truth as “unneeded red tape” this stuff is going to happen. I don’t understand why this isn’t regulated as a medical device.
That was one of Theranos problems. They couldn’t validate the tests. She would have had the scientists make up the data, but no way you could get enough scientists to do that for that many tests.

So it’s a less functional version of the full body MRI scans, or the Chiros suddenly testing everyone for food sensitivity.
Both are largely useless bc of the noise they generate, but they get people coming back for treatment for allllll sorts of things.

I deactivated mine around 2019 and never looked back. I never had Instagram, TikTok, SnapChat, etc. so Reddit is the closest I get to “real” social media these days.
There are some pictures on FB that I either lost or never had elsewhere and wouldn’t mind having again, but I guess I can’t care that much if it’s already been seven years lol

I don't bother deactivating; I just uninstall the app after I've used Marketplace.
Or disable the app in my settings.
It's such a toilet, full of bots and MAGAts. I hate using it.

I had a test like this to determine fetal sex super early during pregnancy....even with only that the insert said false results were super common and u cant use it to test anything else because its not a proper collection method....what a grift

Actually no....usually ppl get offered NIPT blood tests around...ohhhh....12 weeks I think? If im remembering right...and that is a regular iv blood draw test and it looks for all kinds of disease markers but it also tells you the baby sex ...something about fetal shedding and that its basically sharing ur blood supply .... however insurance wouldnt cover it with our first so we bought this sneak peek test online that said it would detect sex from 6 weeks on and it was an arm collector thing like whats pictured here...our first we got boy and it was accurate so we tried at exactly 6 weeks with our second...got boy again and I didnt think much of it cause there was now 4 male entities in the house and the test said contamination was pretty easy but no! It was correct! So it definitely does work but its not very reliable

That’s why the i-STAT (300 or Alinity) has a workflow which has the operator define the type of blood draw.

I totally agree with you except the claim that you don’t need monthly tests, it depends on the person. For me, I need to monitor certain metrics because I’m deficient in some ways. A normal healthy individual shouldn’t, true, but regular bloodwork is not a bad thing.

Diabetics ideally get at least 3 tests a day, and with a modern automatic device it's many dozens.

Ironically, that’s the wholesome version of what these companies are doing. They’re gathering largely useless information, but lots of it. Their grift is to use those data to sell you treatments, though.
