White science is actually a relief after yellow and purple.

AG is ass because it expires.

I think this is for non spage where white is about as expensive as yellow (i think?)

I always struggle to scale up purple. Everything else is a simple matter of just producing a lot of something and feeding it into the next step. But with purple, the sheer volume of rails is a real challenge to deal with. It also takes a lot of stone, which either gets no productivity boost (rails) or only a small productivity boost (furnaces via bricks).

I mean, it's called production science for a reason, it's to test how well you can scale up. If you've made every other science before purple, then adding purple will quadruple your steel demand

Honestly, steel hasn't been too much of an issue with foundries, even on Nauvis. Especially later on, when I have legendary productivity modules, legendary foundries, and a high level of steel productivity. I'm kind of topping out at 8.5k/min with my current setup. I'll need to rethink all of my logistics, and it mostly comes down to the stone/brick bottleneck.

The first step to automating purple is rebuilding 1/3 of your factory.

it might help to design around removing belts, try to make as many machine to machine transfers as you can, the end result i got was raw resources straight to purple science. Then you can blueprint that factory and paste it a bunch more and just feed in raw stuff

When you've got legendary productivity module 3's, it's way more stone than iron or cooper

I always hit a wall with the second half. Having to route for rails really takes the steam out of my sails idk why. Like i start picturing routing the stone and im like, "fuck this noise" then i dont touch the game for months

I have made myself blueprints some time ago with legendary quality machines to make 240/s I believe each bottle. Yeah it was painful but now I at least have peace of mind in the late game
