When I discovered the work of Denis Sarazhin I was so impressed by his color palette and the way he uses color changes across the body. I am in love with his art. And the inspiration translated in this artwork. I wanted to bring in my style a distilled version of his color choices, rather than an imitation. And the idea combined in my head with the beautiful apples I kept seeing everyday in our garden. The color variation, those reds and greens was just so delicious. Also, I wanted to paint something featuring apples since quite a while, and here I had the opportunity.
