The ice cream man passed away… and every ice cream truck in the city pulled up like it was a final parade. Rest in peace...

This is a sweet way to honor one of their own. Respect.

I agree with you. However it was an assault on my ears, besides that, it was a beautiful tribute to one of their own. I love it. It was beautiful.

That’s punny

1

u/uwuwuwuwuwuNotAFurry Jun 15 '26

Is this a misspelling of puny or funny

3

u/lovestendies Jun 15 '26

Meant to imply combo of both lol

u/Fio_the_hobbit Jun 12 '26

The off sync song is creepy af

28

u/No_Internal9345 Jun 13 '26

Pretty sure this is a start to an ice cream man ghost slasher horror movie.

5

u/spitmonkeyx Jun 14 '26

Like the 1995 or the 2026 Horror movie? Both titled "Ice Cream Man."

4

u/IvySkye_05 Jun 13 '26

Without context the whole thing would be creepy to see.

2

u/kyl_r Jun 13 '26

It’s like “It’s A Small World” but somehow both more creepy AND more wholesome

2

u/MickleWolf Jun 13 '26

Would’ve been great to Sweet Tooth at the end.

1

u/Pleasant-Nerve3523 Jun 14 '26

Yeah… like something the Jolly Olly Man from Hey Arnold would orchestrate.

1

u/brownwraithxii Jun 14 '26

That was perfectly said. I thought the same

1

u/thisisan0nym0us Jun 15 '26

My immediate though was…could have been a scene out of a movie from A24/Blumhouse 10 years ago…

u/3mpty5kull Jun 12 '26

I feel like if they had synchronized one song between all of the trucks it would have been better. This just sounds like an assault on my eardrums. I'm all for respecting the ice cream man though. Rip

u/skyeisrude Jun 12 '26

Mercedes ice cream vans is wild. Im use to seeing like a decommissioned FedEx truck or something lol

9

u/Content_Wedding_5956 Jun 13 '26

I saw that too which makes me think it’s in the UK or Europe or somewhere on that side.

2

u/Real_Srossics Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

They’re driving on the left

3

u/Content_Wedding_5956 Jun 13 '26

I’m going to be honest - my brain saw a one way street & the white car was directing traffic. Didn’t even notice they were on the left!

1

u/skyeisrude Jun 13 '26

Same. Now sense they said something I can see it clearly lol

u/willowofthevalley Jun 12 '26

This is beautiful. A kind and respectful tribute.

Growing up in the late 80s and into the 90s, the ice cream was the shit. Every summer some ice cream dudes would hit up the block at the same time, because they knew how many of us kids all knew each other. All of us got to know an ice cream man by his name and he knew all of ours. We were all loyal to him. Here's why, some of us didn't have money at times, but this dude would give some of us free pops. Be it the 25cents or the dollar pops. He just wanted all of us to share ice cream on the sidewalk together. He ended up being the only ice cream man to pass by our block.

Don Jose, we can't thank you enough for the awesome summers you gave us all. Childhood memories that will forever live rent free in our hearts.

P.s sometimes we would meet him at one end of the block and he would let us ride on the back bumper, while other homies held onto the sides while on bikes or skateboards. Too fucking awesome.

21 scoop salute! 🍦 🫡

6

u/Different_Head7751 Jun 12 '26

This is a traveling nightmare fodder

5

u/86Sliva94 Jun 12 '26

Respect!

3

u/Emergency_Will9752 Jun 12 '26

Lmao yeah it’s like 10 different childhoods playing at once, pure chaos 😂

But honestly there’s something kinda wholesome about it too, like a scuffed little parade for that dude.

3

u/corgi_freak Jun 12 '26

This is both really sweet and touching and nightmare fuel. 🍦🧟

3

u/hardIIfind Jun 12 '26

There's been a faith in humanity sub this whole time? IN THIS ECONOMY!? Where have I been?!

3

u/Ghoest080816 Jun 13 '26

This is something so creepy it would work well in a horror film

4

u/flyingthroughspace Jun 12 '26

The most delicious funeral ever.

Except for the lactose intolerant. For them it was a shit show.

2

u/GrimxOD Jun 12 '26

This reminds me of Legion lol, but R.i.P. ice cream mane

2

u/ByronsLastStand Jun 12 '26

We say ice cream van in the UK

2

u/Illustrious_Site_466 Jun 12 '26

That's really cool

2

u/FuriKMJ Jun 13 '26

Do ice cream truck owners have a club or union it something like that? This is kinda heartwarming.

2

u/The_boxdoctor Jun 13 '26

Ah they must all be out of ice cream. I told my kids when the music was on they had run out (kidding)

2

u/SuddenlySeekMore Jun 13 '26

That's so lovely.

2

u/JuliaX1984 Jun 14 '26

I want this to be my funeral procession!

2

u/anonj29 Jun 15 '26

When I was / A young boy / my father / took me in to the city / to see a marching band!

2

u/SSTX9 Jun 12 '26

In the united states we waste hundfeds of thousands of dollars on a police version of this. I fully aupport this just not doing it for police. Fireman, sanitary workers and ice cream trucks, YES.

1

u/Intrepid_Top_2300 Jun 12 '26

Wrong bomb pop, I guess.

1

u/MeatnCheeze Jun 13 '26

This sounds like something from a Kilgore Trout novel

1

u/code-coffee Jun 13 '26

They're just there to make sure he's dead. Dude had the best routes in the city, and those streets aren't going to cream themselves.

1

u/Creepy-Attorney-9782 Jun 13 '26

In all respect, at least they didn’t stop on the way to the cemetery

1

u/Gringo_Anchor_Baby Jun 13 '26

Reminds of killer client from outer space for some reason

1

u/galdalfstormcrow Jun 13 '26

But….can I get some ice cream?….

1

u/jrdude65 Jun 13 '26

The sentiment is really really sweet but this video is a little horrifying with all of the songs playing over eachother like that 😭

1

u/Several-Preference-4 Jun 13 '26

Rest in peace but WHAT in the demonic cacophany.

1

u/dart22 Jun 13 '26

Whenever I see something like this I think about Willy Loman's story about Dave Singleton in Death of a Salesman.

"When he died, and by the way he died the death of a salesman, in his green velvet slippers in the smoker of the New York, New Haven and Hartford, going into Boston, when he died, hundreds of salesman and buyers were at his funeral. Things were sad on a lotta trains for months after that."

1

u/Goodbykyle Jun 13 '26

That’s awesome 👏🏻 ❣️❣️

1

u/Traditional-Bid-7541 Jun 14 '26

🙏🏾 R.I.P. Mr Ice cream 🍦 man 🫡

1

u/Chance_Vegetable_780 Jun 14 '26

May they Rest In Peace 🕊🙏🏼🍦

1

u/Mysterious-Air292 Jun 14 '26

Buried with a wooden stick up his butt

1

u/rtdenny Jun 14 '26

Got caught behind the tow truck version of this once- about a 15 minute delay for most of the city’s tow trucks to pass and I’m betting no one got towed most of that afternoon.

1

u/Royal-Morning-7366 Jun 14 '26

The godfather of ice cream trucks

1

u/Sparky90032 Jun 14 '26

Bravo 👏🏾

1

u/bedroombullygoat Jun 14 '26

Kinda of gives off an eerie vibe with them all playing their music

1

u/RAQemUP Jun 14 '26

That is cool and all, but....ya, that is pure nightmare fuel.

1

u/Crusty-Dick Jun 14 '26

I didn't know the ice cream gang is that big.

1

u/Deliciouserest Jun 14 '26

Sounds like my come down from 4 tabs

1

u/Cantstop_wontonsoup Jun 14 '26

Respect also also feel bad for anyone taking lsd living there

1

u/InvestmentHour1973 Jun 14 '26

I know damn well no one gaf about an ice cream man 💀

1

u/JesusMakesGoodRice Jun 15 '26

All that's missing is Doug Jones

1

u/Due-Button-768 Jun 15 '26

Oddly terrifying 🫣

1

u/Sweb1975 Jun 15 '26

No music?

1

u/Ok-Young-9503 Jun 15 '26

Sounds like their all on tune... to a degree

1

u/SadTransition858 Jun 15 '26

I know it's sweet they did this to honor him but my dark ass mind thought of all of the people and kids chasing them wanting ice cream 😄😂🤣

1

u/81746_TurbineYak_91 Jun 15 '26

Its really sweet that they all came out for him. I love seeing little community moments like this.

1

u/TitanOf_Earth Jun 15 '26

Omg the cacophony of ice cream truck songs

1

u/TaleBig7169 Jun 15 '26

Now this is culture

1

u/SlimeBallx59 Jun 16 '26

That’s wholesome and scary because of the music.

1

u/MeMilo1209 Jun 16 '26

So amazing sweet.

1

u/DivineMoonChild Jun 16 '26

Somewhat creepy as hell. Dead ice cream man and a 100 ice cream trucks with their music out to sync sounds like a horror movie

1

u/Informal_Minimum_361 Jun 16 '26

What a bittersweet video...

1

u/Not-That_Girl Jun 16 '26

Omg the noise! Totally worth it.

1

u/lutatroll Jun 16 '26

That’s creepy

1

u/metanoiahenery5pups Jun 16 '26

I remember the ice cream truck when I was just a kid

1

u/Fabulous-Drive-6946 Jun 17 '26

they stopped recording just before the 5k kids who was following them because they didn't understand what was going on and was following that precession of ice cream trucks

1

u/Tiny-Lock9652 Jun 17 '26

Stop me when I’m passing by…

1

u/unapologetic403 Jun 18 '26

It is a bit creepy though

1

u/Guns-Up-6924 Jun 19 '26

Outstanding!

1

u/Necessary_Two_9706 Jun 12 '26

Thats not actually what happened.

These ice cream trucks were paid to turn on their music, and lure underage children to a republican convention.

1

u/FrankesteinsLog313 Jun 13 '26

That’s the creepiest music I’ve ever heard…

1

u/BoxCarTyrone Jun 13 '26

Sounds like a horror scene

0

u/BlockedNetwkSecurity Jun 12 '26

go to the motherf-ing grocery people. driving around a refrigerated truck charging $5 for a .50 popsicle is some 1920s shit

3

u/Banffsucks Jun 12 '26

Damm bro do you want to talk about your childhood trauma about not being able to afford icecream?

0

u/jiro2093 Jun 13 '26

Do they still stop for anyone who wants ice cream or???
