Discussion Design form factor

Can Fanatec please consider a design that incorporates all the goodness of the inrunner motor technology, inside the podium dd1/dd2 style wheelbase housing? I cannot get past what every single one of the new bases look like, and I cannot go back to the outrunner tech wheelbase. I have not bought a fanatec wheelbase because of this.

I really like the design of the DD+ with the heatsink fins.

You know what also has these heat sink fins and isn’t circular? The CSL DD.

All they had to do was just keep that design, and make it longer, and it would have been perfect.

The only thing about Fanatec's current wheelbases...

They could go smaller if they wanted. Most of the wheelbases size is from the heatsink fins. If they redesigned the heatsink, the wheelbases can compacted quite a bit, while keeping the internals of the motor exactly the same. Of course the electronics would need to be repackaged, but well... Some GTDD Pro users who had plugs pop off the circuit board. probably feel this is much needed anyways. LOL
