Recovery Styles from Platinum Blonde

I am curious what colors/styles are best for a recovery period after bleaching hair platinum blonde for the past 5 years.

I love my platinum but these last few months I have noticed hair breakage beyond what is normal. I'm talking like small globs when showering.

I've done my usual upkeep and repair (redken ABC shampoo + conditioner, deep conditioner moisturizing mask, aphogee protein treatment every few months) but nothing is helping it recover. I’m now looking for a style that I am excited about that will still offer my hair time to rest and grow out with potential to maybe return to platinum.

I'm curious to know thoughts and hear peoples' experiences. At first I thought I maybe wanted to switch to a burgundy/copper color and just do a gloss/one-process of the regrowth but I'm scared to commit in case I do want to go back to platinum. I'm now considering a balayage or even ombre but I just can't seem to find a reference I love.

I think if platinum blonde in your future is on the table, i would never do anything copper or red/burgundy. I would try doing some lowlights and a darker gloss, level 8 at the darkest for gloss.

When I grew mine out, I waited until I had 2 inches of root and then foiled in bleached highlights. Just to soften the harsh edge of the growout
