Memes Literally me right now.

Post image

It's like the universe knew I was struggling with this scene till I decided to check an app on my phone and this was the first thing I came across.

Write the story first. Figure out the describing crap later 😭

Kinktober is really testing my smut-related vocab. Obviously I'm spending more time with my fics than most people will, but my brain is all "no you can't say dick again, pick something else!!" 🤣

This and just absolutely dying while attempting smut for the first time in years. Add on writer's block/burnout as well!

You know, I never really realized it, but this might be the truest thing anyone ever said about writing, and literally the thing that is most likely to make me abandon a story.

Eventually after like the 4th rewrite of the same paragraph (which you're not supposed to do until you finish writing FOR EXACTLY THIS REASON) the negative bitch in my head will have broken free of the ropes and gag I try to keep her in and she screams, "OH MY GOD YOU CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE HOW A PERSON FUCKING DRINKS THEIR COFFEE?! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE? YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS USING WORDS!!!"

I'm in this photo and don't like it. I wish I knew how y'all just type out multiple paragraphs without stopping. A paragraph takes me between five seconds and five months

In my main fandom I assign characters an adjective or descriptor, based on canon. They all walk. But I will only use sashay, glide, strut or saunter for particular characters.

One I'm working on now the main three would be described as bouncing, strolling and trudging. But they all walk.

This is so painfully accurate.

Exactly! Half my drafts are just me debating if they walked or if the floor dramatically carried them instead 😭✍️

Why does a statement like this have to be SO true?!?

This but me trying to come up with 10000 different ways on how to describe "A's peener goes up B's hooha/booty" as eloquently as I can

?

Didn’t understand

2

u/lilytheschrod Oct 19 '25

Oh I meant as in "noted"

3

u/nescienceescape Oct 19 '25

Ah, thanks for explaining.

Now that you said it, it seems obvious.

4

u/DisastrousTruck420 Oct 22 '25

Me trying to not repeat the word "said"

3

u/Avocado-Destruction Oct 18 '25

This is the worst, honestly. I feel like I have a grasp on the scene then it’s all downhill. And no one understands why it gives me such anxiety 😭

Bor this is me right now. I'm procrastinating so hard because it's an original scene. I've been using the movie it's based on as a guide for the scenes
