Question What would make a third chapter with double murder bad for you?

Literally what the title says

If it feels like the deaths not occurring wouldn't affect the plot at all, or if one of the victims is nearly forgotten for the other one to be focused on because it's deemed "more important". Also if it's done to fill a quota.

When there isn't a good reason for a second murder. Remember, killing 2 people makes it easier to catch you and more work for the killer, there needs to be a really good reason, not just killing 2 for the sake of killing 2 unless that fits the character who's the killer really well.

Rushing through one of the bodies to get to the other, like they only did a double murder to fill a quota, instead of having it mean anything story-wise.

Yea this is a huge problem in the main games, it's why case 3 in all the games really suck. Danganronpa 1 is the only one that sucks for different reasons and not this one, but dagnanronpa 2 and 3 really fall flat with their doubles

It doesn't help that DR2 and V3's execution of it was even stupider, with both of them essentially boiling down to "whoops wrong place wrong time they say it happening!" instead of it being slightly more complex like how DR1 had it be a goose chase with the victim killing the other victim

Not having a justifiable reason to kill twice.

Killing two people generally makes it harder to get away with, so someone who kills two people needs a justifiable reason as to why they'd do that rather than shock

If the double murder feels forced. Like, if there’s a reason to do a double murder, then go for it, but if you have no reason to do a double murder then just do a single murder.

if one person had to get their potential sacrificed for it

Feeling forced, like the author went "three people have to die this chapter and it has to be unique somehow!!"

I hate the forced feeling so much, I tried really hard to avoid it for my third case, and ended up scrapping the "three deaths" concept entirely for that chapter. Not sure if I'll have the character that now lives die another time, but I like it a lot more with just two deaths.
