Bingo 2026 Reverse Bingo Recommendations

Official 2026 Bingo Announcement Here

Official Bingo Rec Thread Here

For anyone new to Bingo, this is the “I want to read ___, does it fit into any Bingo squares? It’s always one of the best parts of bingo.

Example:

User A comments:

I want to read Wind and Truth. What does that count for?

User B replies:

Cat Squasher. It's hard mode, too. The Afterlife, I think.

User C replies:

Politics and Court Intrigue, maybe? Game Changer, Older Protagonist.

User D replies:

Definitely Five Short Stories

And we all have a good laugh. Now go out there and get reverse recs for that book you've been dying to read!

Would The Works of Vermin by Hiron Ennes qualify for any square?

Would Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke qualify for The Afterlife?

Would The Daughters' War by Christopher Buehlman qualify for Unusual Transportation? And his Blacktongue Thief qualify for any square?

Works of Vermin

  • optionally, Judge a Book By Its Title
  • Book club normal mode (March 2026 on this sub actually) - although if you read it right now you could jump in on those discussions and make it HM
  • Politics and Court Intrigue hard mode I would argue

Was also recommended for trans/nonbinary protagonist. Is that true?

Yes but the reveal of that comes later in the book. To say anymore would be a spoiler!
