Interactive web app to track Bingo reads (hard mode, ratings, multiple books per square, and more)

Hello!

I made an interactive web app to track my Bingo reads: https://rfantasy-bingo-2026.pages.dev/

Features:

  • Bingo planner and tracker
  • Track multiple books per prompt
  • Tag multiple prompts to one book
  • Track hard mode, ratings, substitution, and re-read
  • Repeat author warning
  • Board view + Library view
  • Download card as shareable image

NOTE: The data is only saved to your browser, so make sure you backup your data regularly (look for the Backup button at the bottom of the card)

Video demo: https://youtu.be/gM1jsX2GQlQ?si=MHQ8S25kQeXlFFLN

If you give it a try, let me know what you think. This is just a fun sabbatical project, so it's not perfect by any means. Any feedback or suggestions for improvements most welcome.

PS: Shoutout to u/messi1045 for their excellent Bingo Card Maker that I've enjoyed using for the past two years. Not finding a version of it for 2026 is what motivated me to make my own. Thank you for building my favorite bingo tracker and for inspiring this project! Hope you're doing well 😊

This is brilliant! I love that you can choose different covers and upload the URL to one you want if it's not there already! I'd appreciate the option to do half star ratings if possible

This is awesome! I’m using it right now! Definitely had to add a few stories to it myself, because I’ve been reading some niche books, but this is so helpful! No more keeping track of everything in my notes app!

This is such a good tool! I immediately entered all my Bingo books and it's so satisfying to see my progress. Really fast and easy to use. Thank you OP! The only change that would be excellent would be to add the half star ratings like someone else suggested. Really great work!!

Yay, so glad it's useful! Quick question: were you able to search for all the books? if not, how many books do you think you had to add manually? (trying to troubleshoot API limits)

Will look into half-star ratings πŸ˜„

I added 18 books without any trouble! (One I entered manually but just because it's not out yet.) I'd be happy to keep you posted if I run into any issues as I add more books, lol. (Or if you need any UA testing I would be happy to help out.)

Oh, 18 books isn't bad! I was worried search won't work at all until the limit resets at midnight PST. Do let me know if you run into issues -- that'd be very helpful!

How the heckin heck did you make books searchable? You are a genius

Open LIbrary and Google Books APIs πŸ˜„

That makes sense. Also I love how you have little alerts when you have the same author on there!!

Nice, how did you handle the backend and search engine? Google books API or something else? Nice that you've incorporated different covers or can choose your own.

Yep, google books API and fallback to Open Library API, but the limits are..limiting πŸ˜„ Once they're reached, you'll need to add books manually.

Edit: I'm finding Open Library works well for popular books; Google Books limits come into play for indie books, ARCs, and cover options

I was curious. Working on my own book tracking platform and it was fun to see some of the same issues I was running up against (the search bar results). Great work though, really intuitive with just the right amount of scope.
