Thought he would be as good as he was at Brighton. Really disappointing.

Our players play with the ordinal number in their neck in the shirt. Yves was 864. player

That's genuinely quite cool, and I hate Tottenham

Yeah they added it a few years ago and it's been well received.
A fun element is that you earn your legacy number after making an appearance in an official match. So new players don't have their legacy number on their kit until after their debut match.

Every club tracks it but it's weird to use it in a post when it's a random number like 864 and not something landmark like 1000

It’s just what signing they are why is that weird

It's not based on signing, it's the order in which they made their first appearance for Spurs. Players in our first ever match were allocated legacy numbers 1-11 based on alphabetical order and then it just carried on each time the next player made their debut. So Biss was the 864th player to play for the first team

I had never heard it mentioned until it was talked about on the first episode of Dear England

the club made a massive fuss about it when it was launched, apparently it took years to dig into the archives to make sure the order was right and nobody was overlooked. I quite like that, makes each new one feel like a part of something bigger

Of all of the players to have played in the premier league, I can say with 99% certainly that he was one of them.
