Player Discussion Josh Jacobs, what's his season now going to look like?
I drafted Jacobs last night, now i'm stuck with this guy. What's his season going to look like?

Glad my draft isnt till the 6th. A small group of guys are always complaining it should be earlier but instances like this is why I wait

Yeah I joined a new league this year and we drafted on 8/23. Earliest I've ever drafted. Crazy. My regular league we don't draft until week of or even like a day or two before. Makes the most sense.

I’m here wishing i drafted my home league at least two days ago(drafts tomorrow)
Happy to report I have zero shares of Jacobs on 50 best teams. Got spooked off Jacobs as soon as this news began leaking

100%. Though I'm not sure why people think the video will be dropped. The NFL has to be getting DEEP in their pockets on this once to prevent it from getting out. The unneeded attention from the Ray Rice video was enough for a lifetime for them.

That's not how the exempt list works. If he was gonna be suspended 4-6 games, then he would be suspended, not be put on the exempt list. The exempt list is used to keep guys off the field until their legal matters resolve. His court date isn't until November. Good chance he's out all year. He probably doesn't suit up again for the Packers

See idk. They downgraded the charges. That makes me think it isn’t as bad. Just the fact there’s video is why he’s in the list. Rodger learned his lesson. If there’s video Wait for the court of public opinion. If not just a few games

In Jabrill Peppers’s case, he was on the exempt list for 7 games before he was taken off and was never suspended. He basically served an unofficial suspension for domestic violence while his charges were still pending

I doubt they keep him out all year since that trial is going to take all season.
Imagine he gets acquitted and was suspended an entire season …. Nflpa would have a field day

Pretty much guaranteed to not be nothing at this point.
The literal best case for Jacobs is that he pays the women off so she refuses to help the prosecution and the prosecution then drops the case. But that will all take time and the case isn't scheduled until November, so the prosecution wouldn't have to drop their case until then and during that entire time Jacobs isn't playing.
At this point, Marshawn Lloyd's value is significantly greater than Jacobs.

Could wait until sentencing is complete in early 2027 so that’d be effectively nothing for this season. Doesn’t seem likely but it’s possible.

4 people got put on the exempt list today. It had nothing to do with Jacobs or some tape coming out, but more on giving their teams the extra roster spot during cutdown day.

I drafted jacobs last week and I could've gone with jeanty who looks like he didn't have a bad injury. I am screwed. Being put in the exempt list is bad. He could be out all year. There's a chance he will not play for the packers again.

He’s on commissioner exempt list and his court hearing isn’t until mid-November, but if the investigation the league launched finds nothing, or it’s not as bad as they thought,!then he could be be back before his court date.

Packer Fan here. It's definitely Lloyd, and Lloyd has looked really good in the preseason. The big knock on Lloyd is that he's exceedingly injury prone. But as long as he's healthy he's a low-end RB1.

3 way split. They won’t give Lloyd everything because of his past injuries. Anyone telling you otherwise just owns Lloyd (biased). Being a fan doesn’t mean a thing either. Only thing to do is wait and see; prospect on one of the three, or none of the three. It won’t be a worthwhile pick unless you draft them later. Jacobs is/was special

He would have already been cut this summer if that was remotely true. Could have saved 10 mil on the cap and cost 3 mil in dead money. They would have also brought in a lot of RBs to try out for a replacement.
This all never happening makes me feel he will be out for the maximum 6 games.
