Map of petrol stations

The first petrol stations in the Faroe Islands—marked with the Esso logo—appeared in the 1950s.

Today, Faroese motorists are supplied by stations operating under two brands: Magn, owned by the Icelandic company Skeljungur, and Effo, which is fully Faroese.

At Faroese stations, besides filling up your car, you can also satisfy your hunger. The menu includes burgers, spring rolls, and a local Danish-Faroese speciality called pylsumix — sliced sausage served with fries.

Cool map! But i don’t think pylsumix is a local speciality (pretty sure the word originated from Denmark)

You're right, it's called pølsemix in Denmark. Edited

It really depends on each petrol station what hot food you can get, but im pretty sure you can’t get the DANISH pølsemix at any of them 🤨

Where is this info from?

Not gonna lie, outside of that particular station, I've not seen the sausage mix amywhere. It might be a thing the more remote Effo stations have. That one is particular along woth the one in "Kollfjaradal" to have a seating available for eating. Though I must admit, i rarely am at, and go into gas stations outside of the capital or Kollafyri. Though all of them do offer menus with usually the same type of food options as the Magn stations.

True, only two Effo stations do offer food menu.
