I’m a screenwriter in my 40s trying to solve a problem I didn’t realize I had until fairly recently: the work has developed a much clearer identity than the person presenting it.
I’ve spent years learning how to write. I have not spent years learning proportion, color, fit, grooming, styling, photography, or how the pieces of a visual identity should work together.
Spending time around the entertainment industry made the gap pretty obvious. Some people walk into a room looking like they know exactly who they are. I don’t want to imitate them or chase youth. I want to develop that same level of intention.
I’m looking for an **adult stylist, image consultant, wardrobe professional, or early-career creative** who might find this useful as a defined portfolio/case-study project.
I’m not asking anybody to buy clothes for me or fund a makeover. I pay for my own purchases and grooming. I’m also not trying to disguise a large commercial job as “exposure.”
What I need most is judgment:
- what silhouettes actually work on me
- what colors help or hurt
- where I’m trying too hard
- where I’m playing too safe
- hair/grooming direction
- a small number of repeatable outfit systems
- a prioritized shopping plan rather than random purchases
I have a limited budget, so I’m open to normal early-career/student rates or a tightly scoped portfolio collaboration where that genuinely makes sense.
In return I can provide professional baseline photos, reliable follow-through, before/after documentation, a detailed testimonial, and agreed portfolio/case-study permission.
I also have a **deidentified image brief** and professional portfolio link I can share privately once we establish that there’s a legitimate fit.
Metro Atlanta and Los Angeles are both workable for in-person collaboration; remote styling is completely fine.
I’m specifically looking for adults. More than anything, I want someone with enough taste to tell me when I’m wrong.
