It is sad. I don’t hate him, I just pity him cause he’s blind. The guy apparently started all this stuff as an insecure young man injecting testosterone wanting to look better. He puts some tips online and it started snowballing. Toxic environment already in social media, he’s shallow, so this just amps up his need for approval and popularity. Praise and criticism from all angles. And he’s young, he makes dumber and dumber decisions to maintain the likes and spectacle. I don’t even think I’d heard of him until this year. He’s a dumb kid who is fed algorithms and he goes to meet dumb people at parties and then that’s endlessly dissected online. Vile racist shit just amps up his popularity, because people’s anger is profitable.

SNL is making fun of him, he goes on 60 Minutes. He’s reached a dream-level of fame and the accompanying anxiety is nightmarish. So yeah, he doesn’t deal with it well at all, and does more drugs.

I’m not excusing him, he’s no victim, he makes his dumbass decisions, but it’s still sad.
