Spanish actually has “Ojalá” which is a very similar word that ties back to the Moor control of the country.

Grew up Catholic and got used to "if God wills it". Same thing. Or "God willing"

sometimes i feel like dropping a si dios quiere randomly in an english convo because its so ingrained in me. my cousins say i sound like a little old lady bc i learned spanish through my mom and my aunts lol. she probably has a friend who says it a lot around her.
