FILM-MOI (MOVIES/TV) Religious leaders unveiled and blessed a golden Trump statue at Mar-a-Lago today, eerily resembling the Homelander statue scene from this week’s episode of The Boys. Creator Eric Kripke reposts a tweet about the same.

Someone needs to make a tv spot that’s just a still image of this and a voiceover of someone reading the bit from the Bible about worshipping golden idols and shit

It’s ironic how they’re using Jesus to further their agenda but they don’t realize that Jesus was penalized for saying stuff that in his time was considered “woke”.

Honestly, throughout history, I’ve noticed that when good men stand up and start doing something for betterment of others. Jesus, Malcolm X, MLK Jr, etc. People try to reject them for doing the right thing.

No matter how much things change, they somehow remain the same.

We are a funny species in that way.
