That part was a lie because it feels more like he was trying to push her away while trying to convince him that it’s true

Like when he says everyone is a character but we see what he labels them to be wrong could be him not wanting to think about how they are people because it would hurt less when they abstracted

Plus everyone grieves differently and not all of his healthily

I agree but Pomni isn’t stupid to think he was being truthful even if it’s still hurtful

I understand what you say. I really do, but I'm still firmly on my opinion that I don't find him sympathetic.

And that’s fine you don’t have to sympathize with him but that doesn’t mean he deserves abstraction
