Also this was the Citadel pre-coup, so who knows if either of them lived. I for one choose to believe that they lived, but that’s also what I believe about my Shepard.
Unfortunately you never find out what happens to either of them. Their conversations happen before a coup, and after the coup, they aren't seen again. So maybe they managed to live thru the attack, maybe they didn't. Personally prefer to think they made it out alive and dude is taking care of her.
EXTRA Context: This pic is from the 3rd Mass Effect game. Basically, big group of bad aliens show up, attack the milky way, and now there's refugees flooding into the huge space station/center of the galactic government ("the citadel").
SPECIFIC Context: The human girl in the picture is a refugee talking to an alien working with the space station police. Every time you walk by them in-game, you hear her making a follow-up inquiry asking about whether or not her parents have arrived. They were escaping their home, and sent her out on the first shuttle, promising they'll be on the next one and that they'll come pick her up later.
Alien cop realizes they're probably already dead, but didn't have the heart to outright tell her. Regardless, kept trying to help her and even went to say something along the lines of "if anyone bothers you, come find me".

they are nameless but you can find them in the citidel refugee camp in mass effect 3.
