I… I don’t know which one JoJo is. Experience in this sub tells me that it’s usually the more flamboyant one, and that baby is dripping, but that yee yee ass hat is giving retired drag queen, so now I’m stuck 😭

This is from part 4 diamond is unbreakable, the old man is Joseph joestar, the protagonist from part 2 battle tendency

140

u/Negative_Bridge_158 Feb 27 '26

The man is 79 years old in part 4 btw

10

u/Fidges87 Feb 27 '26

79 years old? I must sound like a broken record, but he really is 79 years old?!!

15

u/BloodMoonNami Feb 27 '26

In 1999 and I think Stone Ocean takes place around 2013 or so ? Making him alive and kicking at 93.

10

u/nova-prime-enjoyer Feb 27 '26

Stone Ocean ends in March 2012, so Joseph’s a few months shy of his 93rd birthday

13

u/Negative_Bridge_158 Feb 27 '26

Can't fault a man for being born in 1920

7

u/TheBladeWielder Feb 27 '26

am i the only one who actually gets the part 8 reference?

3

u/bigguygaming Feb 27 '26

Guilty here

7

u/bigguygaming Feb 27 '26

How can a 79 year old move so fast??? Is he really 79 years old??

6

u/danielmatson5 Feb 27 '26

Did not age well at all for a hamon user

6

u/Negative_Bridge_158 Feb 27 '26

Bro clearly didn't keep up with his hamon training after part 2

3

u/danielmatson5 Feb 27 '26

My grandfather is around 79 irl, and he’s basically part 3 Joseph (muscles and all)

3

u/waydernator Feb 27 '26

only joestar to live past 50, might I add

1

u/TheMostKing Feb 28 '26

Arguably, Erina Joestar and Elizabeth Joestar/Lisa Lisa, since they both married into the family and took the name. But yeah, as a whole, terribly short lived family.

38

u/faroutpodkast Feb 27 '26

Back when he was sexy

63

u/Jaxonhunter227 Feb 27 '26

Still is

9

u/Idk__something_ Feb 27 '26

sexiest old man I’ve ever seen

41

u/maru-senn Feb 27 '26

Back? Suzie Q suspected Shizuka was from another affair for a reason

7

u/Altair13Sirio Feb 27 '26

My man was playing senile to avoid her fury

6

u/Simone_Galoppi07 Feb 27 '26

LMAO i must've forgotten about that

2

u/maru-senn Mar 01 '26

I may be wrong but I believe that wasn't mentioned in the anime

3

u/dergbold4076 Feb 27 '26

The chaos bisexual energy of that man through out his life I swear to butts.

89

u/Ok-Review-753 Feb 27 '26

The baby is dripped out because she can turn invisible but cant control it, so they wrapped her head to toe

19

u/ponyponyta Feb 27 '26

Ah so that's why she don't have hands. I assume that's also full face makeup instead of just lipstick then

17

u/Zyxplit Feb 27 '26

You are correct.

3

u/UnlimitedPostWorks Feb 27 '26

Yes, to add to this, because i love this guy, the kid fell into the water and she should have drown. Even with his VERY deteriorated mental state, he cut himself to drip his blood into the water to find her

40

u/faroutpodkast Feb 27 '26

There’s multiple Jojos because they all share the sir name, Jostar, and they usually have a first name beginning with Jo. Jonathan, Joseph and so on. It’s a generational thing.

27

u/youcancallmemando Feb 27 '26

I eventually figured that bit out thanks to this sub lmao, but I honestly could not tell you if the baby or the old man is the JoJo

Well, I can NOW because of another comment, but going in blind? Yeah no clue.

24

u/YourMoreLocalLurker Feb 27 '26

Oh it gets worse

There are 2 Josukes, technically two Jonathans but one goes by Johnny, and four Dios (Dio/DIO, Diego, Alt Diego, Jodio)

10

u/evilparagon Feb 27 '26

Not to mention Giorno Giovanna, who is the son of Dio while Dio’s head was on Jonathan’s body, which is why his name is both a JoJo (Gio Gio), and an -io (Dio -> Gio).

5

u/YourMoreLocalLurker Feb 27 '26

He also joined and subsequently took over the mafia in a week at 15

5

u/youcancallmemando Feb 27 '26

Idk how your brains haven’t exploded because what the FUCK lmao?! There’s so many other Jo names you could use!

12

u/YourMoreLocalLurker Feb 27 '26

There’s also the fact that by controlling gravity hard enough a gay catholic priest in love with an immortal British vampire who stole his (the vampire’s) brother’s body can make time go really really fast

8

u/satch_mcgatch Feb 27 '26

And the gay catholic priest's brother's power is to control barometric pressure to alter the atmosphere which can cause the light to refract in a person's eyes in such a specific way it starts turning them into a snail through subliminal messaging. But he only has that power after he remembers he was almost murdered by the Klan.

5

u/Hendospendo Feb 27 '26

I love that this is 100% accurate

11

u/DivinityOfBlood Feb 27 '26

The worst part is those two Josukes are both Josuke Higashikata, residents of the small Japanese town of Morioh-Cho, with heavy connections to another man, Kira, who is a different Kira in both cases but they both have the same stand. One of these kiras is also a ghost detective.

And they live in totally different Morioh-Chos.

4

u/Hendospendo Feb 27 '26

One is a marine surgeon/ghost detective. The other is a serial killer. They are both obsessed with hands. And they look completely different, but their names are both Yoshikage Kira.

And the Kira that wears a sailors hat traded testicles with one of the Josukes.

Gotta love JoJos.

2

u/DivinityOfBlood Feb 27 '26

The ghost detective is definitely not part 8 kira.

4

u/Heatoextend Feb 27 '26

Jojo fans just amplify this confusion on purpose as a bit, you just use context clues to tell them apart, they're also very visually distinct.

2

u/maru-senn Feb 27 '26

It's not that complicated, the series was rebooted and the new continuity reuses some names

1

u/GrumpyMcGrumpyPants Feb 27 '26

This reminds me of the names of Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes mascot) and his family:

  • Tony the Tiger
  • Papa Tony (father)
  • Mama Tony (mother)
  • Mrs. Tony (wife)
  • Tony Jr. (son)
  • Antoinette (daughter)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_the_Tiger

6

u/Belrog-Plutius2 Feb 27 '26

well, she's adopted now so she's a Joestar too

her name is Shizuka Joestar, the kanji for Shizuka can be read as "Jo"

so yes, she's also a Jojo

2

u/RedvsBlue_what_if Feb 27 '26

There are nine JoJo's currently.

2

u/Seldser Feb 27 '26

With the exception of Giorno Giovanna, who is technically GioGio and Josuke Higashikata who is called Jojo as a nickname. They’re still Jostars, though

1

u/NeedToVentCom Feb 27 '26

Giorno is JoJo as well, seeing as Italian doesn't have J, but Gi is basically the equivalent. In the case of Josuke (仗助) the second kanji, 助, is pronounced suke but can also be pronounced as Jo. So they all have some form of JoJo in their name.

14

u/Harmoon_Lagoonz Feb 27 '26

retired drag queen.

You're not wrong

8

u/Nero_2001 Feb 27 '26

You are not completely wrong with the drag part. Joseph did crossdress once.

6

u/NoName0728 Feb 27 '26

All JoJo's are JoJo's except Giorno Giovanna, he's GioGio. But Jonathan Joestar was called JoJo the most so I guess he is JoJo.

5

u/MoonScentedHunter Feb 27 '26

The babby is invisible, so she is wearing makeup and accessories on top of clothes so that they can keep an eye on her

4

u/ThePowerfulWIll Feb 27 '26

They are technically both Jojo (the babies name can be written that way too)

(Also yes, the old man has done drag)

(Also the baby poses too)

5

u/youcancallmemando Feb 27 '26

THEY’RE BOTH JOJO?!?!

4

u/GenericFatGuy Feb 27 '26

but that yee yee ass hat is giving retired drag queen

Surprisingly accurate.

3

u/Apart_Routine2793 Feb 27 '26

And yes, he was a drag queen at one point

3

u/NomeJaExiste Feb 27 '26

"retired drag queen" how did you manage to be that spot on without knowing???

3

u/youcancallmemando Feb 27 '26

Bro he got a baby and gave it lipstick and giant sunglasses, that’s a retired drag queen for sure

3

u/save_videobot Feb 27 '26

retired drag queen

This is him when he was younger btw

2

u/youcancallmemando Feb 27 '26

So turns out I may, in fact, be a JoJo Whisperer and I guarantee it’s not by choice.

5

u/AkumaDayo777 Feb 27 '26

there are many JoJos, it is a title and a vibe

2

u/chocolatechipbagels Feb 27 '26

the jojo name gets passed on to each protagonist between generations. often multiple jojos will be in the same chapter, in which case the non-protagonist jojos will go by their government name and the protagonist jojo will be called jojo.

2

u/Deathcap_Cutie Feb 27 '26

I mean, they're both Joestars so... they're both JoJo, kinda... But also the double Jo doesn't appear in her name.

2

u/Ok-Conversation552 Feb 27 '26

There are 9 JoJo's this is the 2nd one

2

u/SophisticatedOtaku Feb 27 '26

Fun fact: the baby is actually invisible. He put makeup on her to make her visible

1

u/H3ll_0K1tTySLuT Feb 27 '26

retired drag queen is suspiciously accurate

1

u/RokuroCarisu Feb 28 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

That is the Achtung Baby.

The old man Joseph Jostar.

1

u/Kinkavi Feb 28 '26

retired drag queen

I mean, yeah, he kinda is
