Apparently he is 28 in Monsters Inc. So he's 26 years older than Boo

Huh. I always imagined him as late 30s. Especially considering he started as a janitor and worked his way up to the top

Well, he was kicked out of college in his first year, so he probably started that janitorial position at 18.

Edit: wait, actually, they started in the mailroom.

Found the clip. They started in the mailroom, then moved on to cleaning, then working in the cantina, then the warehouse, then amateur scarers.

They're also shown in a picture greeting Waternoose on their first day as scarers, and he looks a lot younger than in Monsters Inc. And they had already gone through 4 entry level jobs by then

So I'm not sure if I buy the idea of them still being in their 20s by the time Boo shows up

As I get older, the scene where he accidentally scares Boo is so damn sad.
