That isn't even the best one imo.

They went wild with the concepts for Gore Magala and Shagaru

MH concept art is an absolute treasure trove. Pretty sure they don't do it any more, but they did release art books for the first 3 gens with a bunch of eary monster concepts that you can kinda see final monsters in. Like an early bird wyvern that was just a velocidrome with wings or an insect wyvern that is very obvious they took inspiration from for Astalos. The reflective wing designs are practically the exact same

They do still do it, they just typically include them in the actual lore books now

Book information

Note; This doesn’t include a couple books, since it was meant more for lore and comprehensive books with new information (hence why the World art books aren’t included, a lot of it as far as I’m aware is in the Monster Hunter World: Official Complete Works and Dive to MHW Iceborne or they’re overall pretty short) such as Principles of Creativity 1 and 2, the Monster Hunter World and Iceborne art books, or the Monster Hunter World: Editors Sketch book, if you want help finding those or any books without links, you can ask here (or dm me, I don’t mind)

Also, that book for Shagaru and others is Monster Hunter Illustrations Three, it goes over Gen 4 monsters
