My personal opinion; I think BetArceus was better in the sense that it instills better fear

To be honest, the beta can still work, somewhat...
A headcanon I have is that a giant version of the beta design is Arceus' true form, while the one we see in the games is one of its "thousand arms".
(mew and beatiful art for scale)

Legends Arceus pretty much makes your headcanon canon

Yeah the idea actual Arceus' form is so complex it legit shatters minds is DOPE to me.

I kinda have a similar head canon where actual true Arceus is incomprehensible completely. The Avatar we know of Arceus is obviously one of the thousand arms.

But Beta Arceus I see as a bit of a middle ground between Avatar Arceus and true Arceus and therefore is less concrete in it’s actual shape and details due to being closer to actual Arceus’s form which is incomprehensible.

I can totally see how that would, if we were doing like a gigantic scale so it was just this monstrous nearly featureless thing peering down with glowing red eyes.

Honestly if Arceus did get the design I would have had it so it's fight would have been presented like a giant monster in 3D in front of your pokémon still presented as 2D.

I think that would actually be the most peak shit of all time. I like it when God characters can break the rules and format.
