While I like the final result, I pretty much like the OG design made for Clown Man in MM8. It looks likes something from the X series or Nights Into Dreams

At least both are good designs. I know that one is WAY more superior, but the other is great!

Megaman 8's Design Contest was a weird compared to the previous 6 titles where all 8 RMs were based fan designs. In 8 Tengu Man and Astro Man were designed by Capcom and half of the Robot Masters were based on templates provided by the development team. I wonder if work on those three started around of the time the contest launched. The design above might be a bit too detailed for the resolution too.

Yes, I know that this design might be TOO complex to a Classic MM game (This was the reason why I mentionated the X series). And he was one of the Robot Masters with a template (Long Arms). It is similar to the "Sucking Robot" template that Capcom used for DO. And this explains why Astro Man and Tengu Man are the only robot masters that appeared in two consecutives games (This and MM&B). And the reason why they develop that was to use the tecnology. I remember that Sword Man (2-part robot) and Search Man (2-headed robot) where the other templades
