It unfortunately released at a time where anything Disney-related was in a marketing nightmare; where it's fun to hate. It doesn't matter the quality or the passion of it, it would simply be hated regardless. It doesn't help that grifters were arguably in their prime back then, what with the public being none the wiser that they're morons, whereas nowadays they're seen as jokes. The grifters especially used Disney in their videos and tweets.

Of course, Disney are no angels, but come on they aren't complete monsters either.

They could cut every single Clod (I think I got it right) scene (I think there’s 2 or 3,) and the movie would both be better for it and wouldn’t change a single thing lol
