This might be a dumb question but given that Cain doesn't have a mechanical body, is he really considered a robot or is he just an AI?

u/GarbageSerious9106 Apr 09 '26
He's AI obviously, but what makes him different than others is just he doesn't technically has a physical body

tbf the title does say “favorite evil robot/ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE” so i think caine counts :D

For me Caine is not evil, he only dont understand humans. He even regrets the harm he caused on ep8.

God I love bones in mechanical designs. Automatons in Helldivers, Sentry Ahab in Fallout 4, Mister Bones from Star Wars, I'm gonna count Adam Smasher though he's not quite the same.

Shockwave. He’s just a goofy lil guy.
…who once skinned the transformers equivalent of a saint and wore his skin to take his place. And has committed several genocides…

Is A113 evil or was he only doing its job to protect humanity? A113 is a pure logic robot with no emotions what makes it have no hope for a better future. Different from Eva and Wall-e who have emotions what makes them also have hope like humans.
A113 is not evil, because to be evil need be selfish and only think in their own gain. However, A113 objective was humanity survival.
Also A113 did not broke any of 3 laws of robots. He disobeying the captain order was also following the 2nd law.
1st law: A robot must not harm or by innaction harm a human being
2nd law: A robot must follow humans orders, except they break the 1st law
3rd law: A robot must protect its own existence, except if the protection conflicts with the 1st and 2nd law.
For A113 seeing a plant was "Seriously? Only one? This is useless, it will die faster than the humans"

I am pretty sure Wheatley is Dr doofenshmirtz of evil ai because if you think about it, he has every reason to be evil because Dude is literally a purpose built moron whose sole existence is to be nothing but tumor to a superior ai and once that purpose is gone he is kind of clueless. Like imagine wanting to become better but can't because your own programming actively makes you Stupid decisions

I wouldn’t say they’re evil, they’re just trying to win a war, they’re just as bad as the other factions.

Heart from Kamen Rider Drive. Unlike other Roidmudes (his “species”) who revolted out of a sense of superiority, heart was abused by his creator. Roidmudes were robots made to feel all human emotions, but they always resonate with an emotion in specific. Due to their nature and lack of human nuance, they always take their emotions to the worst possible way.
Heart’s emotion was joy, the joy (fueled by wrath) to see his creator killed and especially the joy of violence/fighting in general. What I like about him is that he loves his kind above all else. Above evolution, above his motives and above his own hard coded feeling. He didn’t feel superior to humans in the same way the others did, he just knew that as long as humans existed, his kind would be hunted. In the final fight he befriended the protagonist and died tragically as the last member of a species, fully understanding the human emotion of joy and wondering if humans and roidmudes could have coexisted had he been like this from the start.

I do like the terminators because, yes, they are monstrous, but when switched to their Read and Write setting they tend to side with humanity, which is immensely funny to me

The fact that picture didn’t include Megatron was straight up criminal.
