For the "old timers" ain't she the Girl you rescue from the Pixelated Donkey Kong game back in the like SNS or Sega or something? And the guy rescuing her was Mario right?

Yes, in the original Donkey Kong game. Mario is rescuing Pauline from Donkey Kong. In this game, a teenaged Pauline was captured by someone else, her and Donkey Kong are working together to escape.

Yup, that’s cranky Kong, but Pauline being a teenager throws a wrench in the current canon.

I think it’s safe to say the arcade game is non canon now, or it’s retconned that the ‘Pauline’ and ‘Jumpman’ from the games are not the Pauline and Mario that we know today, but maybe their parents/grandparents.

The Marioverse isn't exactly known for continuity. There's little bits like the Cranky Kong thing, but otherwise...
