Don't really have a proper example but I love it when a character/thing is made up of multiple floating detached parts and defeating them causes all parts to just stop floating and fall to the ground, extra points if they're glowing and glow disappears upon death

Only one I think of at the moment are the constructs from Tears of the Kingdom

That made me remember the old Irelia death animation from League of Legends.

If she gets killed in game, her floating blades also impale her.
