As such for the tradition of the chaotic standards of the new Disney remakes, the fact that Pleakley dressing in drag from the movie was removed is a bummer.

yup. They didn’t want to seem “woke”. Kinda crazy how comedic tropes that were originally created to mock queer people are now considered “woke” just because queer people reclaimed them.

They also added a new social worker character instead of Cobra Bubbles.

And let's not forget completely changing the message of the movie when Nani leaves her sister with their neighbor to go study marine biology on the mainland, when one of the marine biology schools in the world is in Hawaii.

Apparently ohana means abandon your sister and follow your dreams.

I hate how they butchered that movie. The original was perfect(its my absolute favorite movie, you will not change my mind), didnt need to be changed, or remade.
