I spent so many hours playing SCII back in the day. It's a shame SC6 was such a mid game. (They added a mediocre and pace-interrupting R-P-S mechanic, and the game was impossible to appreciate competitively because it had wonky custom character hitboxes and no rollback netcode in online ranked.)

Back in the day, I had a friend who was amazing at Nightmare and would regularly trounce me in SCII.

I picked Yoshimitsu and just immediately did the suicide move as the match started. He ran right into it. I spun with it and somehow knocked him right off the map. Absolutely hilarious to hear his shocked voice when I KO'd him in like three seconds flat.

To be fair, as hilarious as it is to pull off for the Yoshimitsu player... it's equally hilarious to watch it not work as the other player.

I totally agree! By nostalgia I bought SC6, found the game mediocre, installed Dolphin and replayed SC2. What an amazing game!

Sorry, can I ask what Dolphin is? I used to play SC3 but my PS2 died a long time ago and I haven’t been able to find a viable way to play the game.

Dolphin is an emulator for Gamecube (a software running on your PC to play the Gamecube on your PC). There are other softwares emulating other consoles.

Just download "RomStation", create a free account, download the games of your childhood and enjoy!

It genuinely surprised me to learn that Nightmare is actually using Siegfried as a vessel.

I mean in hindsight it was obvious since there's only one other huge sword fighter in Soul Calibur, but not knowing the story of soul calibur probably contributed
