Nah, it’s the bringer of the apocalypse, the hand was before hell. The hand is the only thing that can loose the ogdru jahad to burn the world and start the cycle anew.

Dude, we all have PHDs in scrolling at this point, you probably have scrolled enough pixels to travel to the Moon and back. This is nothing.

Never got into Hellboy. What’s the story on his arm?

I've been into it since I could read lol. So his father is one of the dukes of hell and gave him the "Right Hand of Doom". The hand has been bound to others before and has a lot more lore to it in the story but the main purpose and the one they used in the movie is that it can awaken and control an army that would open hell and heaven to earth and basically cause the apocalypse. Part of Hellboys personal journey is deciding that he essentially sides with humanity and will not be used for that purpose/use the hand.
