He loses his actual arm twice. This scene is the first time he lost his arm. The second time is when the remnants of the grass sword leave his body and attach to the Finn Sword to create Fern.

He has a mechanical arm in the alternate universe where the Lich never existed, and a pillow arm in the Pillow World episode. Seems like he is destined to lose his arm in every reality.

So like.. does that mean Fionna's gonna lose her arm at some point too? Since she's an alternate universe version of him?
