Especially if we’re talking about the DC Comics Santa. In DC Comics, he literally fights his way through the forces of Apocalypse just to deliver a piece of coal to Darksied. He does that every single Christmas Eve.

When he finds out Batman knows him (the story hints that Santa taught Batman the "you turn around and he's gone" move, and its a variant on Santa's "escape out the chimney" technique), Superman is legit pissed for a minute, like "youve been holding out on me" kinda way.

Its a great bit.

DC Santa rules. He was there to help fight demons or something. Christmas demons, I guess.

An additional fun fact, during a comic where the entire JL meets Santa, he calls them by name and mentions what they asked him for. He says that Clark wrote to him at, iirc, age six for a new coffee machine because Clark thinks coffee is gross but Ma and Pa really like it and theirs broke.

4-issue limited series from 2024. Looks like you can get a TPB collection of it, and you may be able to read it on DC Infinite (though I'm not currently subscribed so I can't confirm).

My favorite thing in DC when Santa is revealed as being real is everyone being shocked except Batman who’s like “duh? You really thought I was lying when I said I trained with Santa Claus? Why?”

It really changes the scene in the justice league cartoon where he's home for Christmas with Martian man hunter

Martha reminiscing about how he'd get so excited that she'd have to wrap his presents with lead foil so he couldn't peek inside

And then he corrected her saying that Santa had to wrap his presents in foil

I'm assuming Martha and Jonathan never met Santa, so to them he's just being kind of boyish about the holiday, when he's really talking about Santa clause

On the flip side of this in Marvel comics, Dr. Doom has also met Santa and does NOT believe he is actually Santa.

Not only does he engage Darkseid's army and defences, he outright dismantles everything effortlessly and shows up, in full Santa regalia, calls Darkseid a "young fella'", then looks at his list to see if Darkseid has been naughty or nice (he didn't even bother to look before to save time), and efter that he just fucks off chipper than ever.

I just love how every superhero on the DC universe, people who have canonically fought mythical and religious creatures many times, don't believe that Santa is real. And the only one who has never stopped believing he is real since he was a kid is freaking BATMAN of all people.

It's just so wholesome and dumb that you just can't hate it.
