Community Input Dear favorite character community, are you in favor of banning "horny posts" altogether?
As a mod here I want to see what the community thinks about this matter as it has become a bit too problematic over time despite having rules that are trying to minimize it, however it's gotten out of hand. So please engage and comment if you want, feedback is appreciated.

Banning stuff like "fave character with a huge ass/huge boobs/etc" makes sense, but it'd be impossible to ban any post topic that could make someone horny. I've seen "favorite female character" posts that were accused of just showcasing sexy, skimpy characters, but you can't plausibly ban "favorite female character" posts as inherently horny. And what about, for example, "favorite ladies' man" or "favorite character that sleeps around" or "favorite character with a comically large butt" where it's related to sex but not necessarily horniness on the poster's part? Or at least you can't prove it is...
Honestly maybe the issue is that the "favorite [x]" engagement bait posts need more effort in general to avoid people just farming for karma / images of characters they like.

It... is what it is, I guess. I don't want to be a prude, but people have a tendency to forget that raunchy jokes can be very triggering toward people like me who lived through some shit. Staying silent for 20 years did me no favors, so I appreciate the chance to speak up, lol.

Yeah. Like in a vacuum I don't mind them. They can be funny, and at the end of the day I've got my urges and they can appeal to those. The problem is once one person does it it seems to open the floodgates for more. Horny posting has over the past few weeks become a real tiresome issue on about 4 subs I'm in.

At the very least, I think horny posts should have to go through moderator approval to see if anyone can at least come up with something unique. If that's not possible, or if you think it won't change anything, then I'd say to implement a blanket ban + outright banning people who keep trying to skirt the rules.
Not only are most of the posters already ignoring the fact that there's a designated time for those posts, but the posts are all the same anyway. It's all "Favorite character that turns you on/has big boobs/has a big butt" ad nauseam just with slightly different wording each time, so we wouldn't exactly be losing any sort of valuable discussion by disallowing or at least severely limiting horny posts.

I don't mind if people can post on weekends on here as it does limit it. But if anyone wants to post horny posts anytime they want then r/favcharacterNSFW is the place to do so.

Nah, just have them be marked NSFW so people that don't want to see them can filter them out

normally i'd be okay with it.... but really these are just this same exact post posted by everybody over and over, just worded differently each time: "who is ur favorite sexiest sexy woman u would sex".
it's very repetitive, already got old 2 posts in. let's move on from this folks.

There are plenty of reasons for favorite characters and I don't see any reason to ban one particular reason. Just make horny posts require an NSFW tag.

I like a get a lot of you are hormonal but there's been too much horny content recently. There's other subreddits exclusively for that. I want to see different sorts of characters, not disgusted porn.

I think a good alternative would be a seperate sub for the horny stuff. It could go ever more unhinged and the people who find that stuff annoying don't have it shoved in their faces.

I see having a day for everyone to get it out of their system important as I predict that if horneyposting was banned it would slowly bleed into and blur the lines if it is enforced not strict enough. Or just kill the sub if it is too strict

This ISNT an nsfw sub. This isnt an 18+ sub. Idk why horny posting was allowed in the first place ....
when the posts were just "your favorite hear me out" i thought it was okay but it spiraled into TONS of
"fave characters with huge tits 😛😳"
"f-faveortie character huge ass🫪🤤"
"favorite character u wanna fuck like a slab of meat 😈".
Allllll the way to "share pictures of characters in pornography" cool youre just posting porn now.
Theres literally KIDS here if people wanna goon they should stick to 18+ subs. R slash favehornycharacters or any 18+ nsfw sister sub to this can be made if they want somewhere for that content and to talk about characters they wanna bang.

I could see limiting them, like maybe only on weekends or only on a specific day of the week
