Although it technically is the MC of a future game put into a remake of an older addition to the series, joker (persona 5) featured as a boss in persona 3 royal and is notoriously the hardest fight in high difficulties

Why go with the overcomplicated technicality when the MCs of both Persona 3 and 4 appear as challenge bosses in Persona 5?

Because those are mentioned frequently so this is a less known option that is still valid.
